SPAN 176 SC - From Tyranny to Democracy: The Politics of Culture in Spain Between 1975-1992The death of Franco in 1975 marks the end of 30 years of dictatorship and new beginnings for Spain. This course will examine the transitional period from dictatorship to democracy through the study of several forms of expressions such as cinema, the press, literature, and art. Readings will be selected from newspapers and literature of the period. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 044. Course Credit: 1.0
