POLI 108 SC - Political Europe and Monetary Europe Following World War II, most of the states of western Europe—including most prominently France and the Federal Republic of Germany— embarked on a process of political reconciliation and economic integration. Using both primary and secondary source materials, this course will examine why plans for monetary cooperation, and ultimately monetary union, came to play such a significant role in these efforts.
