POLI 187S SC - Micro-Development: The Politics of Poverty and Informality This course examines conditions under which public policies in developing countries successfully improve the economic outcomes of poorer groups. It will address topics such as micro-enterprises, the informal sector, local labor associations, and community resource/environmental management, placing them within broader issues of development, state-society relations, and institutions of governance.
