CLAS 164 PZ - Pompeii and the Cities of Vesuvius Explores the archaeology, history, and art and architecture of the ancient Roman towns of the Bay of Naples buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79CE, including Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as the villas and estates in the area. Examines the evidence for daily life in an ancient Roman city through the unusually well preserved remains of these sites and considers them in the context of the wider Roman world.
