AMST 122 SC - Race and American Crime Fiction


This course examines the role of race in contemporary American crime fiction. We will consider how crime novels (and films) have served as vehicles for social commentary on and critique of institutionalized racism, criminality and justice, and histories of violence against racialized communities.
