International Students

International students on F-1 visas must maintain full-time enrollment during their four years at Scripps to remain in status with F-1 visa regulations. While attending Scripps it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to know and abide by federal regulations pertaining to work authorization, course load, enrollment status, and reporting requirements.  Before making any decision to change a program of study, drop a class, travel outside the United States, accept employment (e.g., on-campus, Curricular Practical Training, or post-completion Optional Practical Training), engage in an internship, or transfer to another institution, it is imperative that a student consult with Scripps International Student Advisor, who is the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO), or with the Registrar, who is the Designated School Official (DSO).

Please visit the Registrar’s Office home page for degree requirements, academic and registration information, and review in more detail F-1 visa federal regulations on the International Students webpage
