ART 150 SC - Installation Art

This intermediate level studio course will examine the expansive nature of installation and its position within contemporary art discourse. Students will create a series of installations throughout the semester, focusing on sculptural and expanded mediums. We will examine the historical lineages surrounding installation, while considering its critical capacities in relation to site, intervention, bodies, public vs. private, the archive, and the built environment.
