CHLT 153 CH - Rural and Urban Social Ethnic Movements This course examines the emergence of social movements, the process of their formation and the varied strategies for their mobilization. Particular attention paid to the Chicanx civil rights, farm labor and union movements. Students organize a memorial and alternative spring break with the United Farm Workers Union.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 001 PZ or SOC 030 CH Course Credit: 1.0
