BIOL 164 KS - Virology This course will provide a balanced and broad introduction to virology. Animal and human viruses, bacterial phages, plant viruses, insect viruses, and prions will be covered. Topics will include viral classification, replication, expression, pathogenesis, methods of diagnosis, and the current uses of viruses in gene therapy and vaccine applications.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 043L and BIOL 044L ; or BIOL 040L and BIOL 044L ; or BIOL042L KS and BIOL044L KS
