BIOL 185 KS - Biochemical Physiology Lectures and laboratory exercises focus on mechanisms of homeostatic regulation from a physiological perspective grounded in biochemical principles. Topics to be covered include biomolecular structure and function, metabolism, cellular energetics, circulation, respiration, digestion, muscular, skeletal, immune, and sensory systems, regulation of extracellular water and electrolytes, and neural and hormonal communication. Optional lab offered as BIOL185L KS.
