ENGL 173 SC - Human Rights and World Literature This course introduces human rights via the declarations and legal texts that helped shape them, and the fictional texts that have represented and questioned their violations. Our exploration of how “rights” (and “the human”) have been defined begins in the West and extends to Asia, Africa, and South America.
