AMST 125 SC - Race in Popular Culture and Media This course will introduce you to the history of popular culture and media, focusing on the sociohistorical contexts of racial representations and the production and consumption of media and popular culture by people of color. We will consider examples from theater, films, advertising, music, television, public amusements, and digital media.
