ANTH 090 PZ - Schooling This course examines the history of mass schooling, the undergraduate curriculum, and professional education from the mid-19th through the end of the 20th century. The course is primarily concerned with the relationship of schooling at all these levels to the state, capitalism, and popular belief. The geographic focus will be on the U.S., but comparisons will be made with schooling elsewhere, notably in Caribbean and European societies.
Prerequisite(s): ANTH 011 /HIST 011 or permission of instructor. Instructor: D. Segal Course Credit: 1.0
