CORE 003 SC - Cyberculture and the Posthuman Age Since 1990, when the first web browser was created, the Internet has revolutionized every aspect of life, even our notion of what it means to be human. The purpose of this course is to identify the radical and controversial shifts that the Internet era has brought about in a variety of areas: communication, politics, law and ethics, interpersonal relations, business, work, education, identity formation, and even brain function. By taking an historical approach, we can better understand the significance of these changes and be more critical users, rather than simply consumers, of new digital technologies.
