MS 113 PZ - African Masculinities and Media This course explores issues that shape African masculinities as these are expressed in film. Beginning with the premise that masculinities are plural, processual, and dialogic, we will investigate the ways African men enact and experience their masculinity in contexts of colonialism, national liberation, and neoliberalism, in relations between youth and elders, between men and men, between men and women, and between Africans and foreigners. Offered spring.
