HIST 169A SC - Freedom and Race: Citizenship, Slavery and the Sex/Labor Trades This course explores freedom and migration through an analysis of labor trades that have led to exploitation. We will examine shifting perceptions of freedom and race in the U.S. in historical and contemporary contexts. Course topics include human slavery, representations of freedom, coercive labor, and human rights. Cross listed as AMST169A SC .
