ASAM 179L SC - Contemporary Asian American Literature This course will explore post-1965 Asian American literature and cultural production by close-reading novels, autoethnography, poetry, comics, short stories, and critical theory. In particular we will focus on Asian American cultural production. The course will think about how Asian American literature is tied to the politics of Asian American experiences. Writers may include: Thi Bui, Mohsin Hamid, Larissa Lai, Jhumpa Lahiri, Chanel Miller, Celeste Ng, Janice Lobo Sapigao, Ocean Vuong, Jung Yun, and Michelle Zauner, among others.
