WRIT 161 IO SC - Classroom-based Tutoring

This course examines the history, theory, and praxis of classroom-based and/or specialist tutoring, in which a writing consultant familiar with a course’s subject matter works with the faculty member to support student writing. Students will develop a working Inside-Out pedagogical praxis for this kind of tutoring and pilot it in other Inside-Out courses. Students will write responses to the readings, observe and critique tutoring sessions, and produce a publishable article.
