CORE 010A SC - Cosmopolitanism & Revolutions This course examines the American, French, and Haitian Revolutions, three transformative movements of the late 18th century that reshaped political, social, and cultural landscapes worldwide. In theory, each of these revolutions claimed, in its own way, to be drawing on a set of ancient ideas about the nature of justice, freedom, and equity. In practice, each revolution applied these ideals in distinct ways. This course will compare how these cherished principles were applied by each movement.
