CORE 010A SC - Film and Revolution Across the Americas in the Long Sixties This course explores how cinema reflected, documented, and engaged with decolonial, popular, and revolutionary movements in the 1960s across the Americas, with special emphasis on Latin America. Students will analyze the narrative and aesthetic strategies used to represent political struggles and examine how global and national events shaped the purpose, production, and circulation of these films–focusing especially on the politics of truth in non-fiction cinema.
