CORE 010A SC - Christian Herstory: 4BCE-1000CE A radical retelling of the history of the first millennium of Christianity by prioritizing sources–books, inscriptions, murals, artifacts, music, etc.–centered on women. It nuances and challenges prevalent narratives about Christianity’s intrinsic misogyny and female oppression by reframing the religion as a contextually liberatory movement in numerous political entities, including Rome, Persia, Ethiopia, Georgia, and Ireland.
