ENGL 101A SC - A Survey of British Literature, Part I A survey of British literature from its Anglo-Saxon beginnings to the 18th century. Particular attention will be paid to major authors such as Chaucer, Spenser, Milton, and Pope, but students will undertake a broad range of readings in order to acquire a sense of both the variety and the historical development of the British literary traditions. Offered annually.
