PHIL 145 CM - Fundamentals of Logic An introduction to formal techniques for evaluating arguments. These techniques include truth tables, natural deduction for propositional logic, natural deduction for predicate logic, and introductory and model theory. The goal of the course is not only for students to develop skills with these formal systems, but also for them to develop an understanding of what it means to reason logically. Offered annually.
