Requirements for the Major
A major in Italian requires a minimum of eight courses plus senior thesis. Prerequisites for the major are: ITAL 001 , ITAL 002 , and ITAL 033 . - ITAL 044 Advanced Italian: Readings in Literature and Civilization
- Seven upper-division courses (numbered above 100) in Italian.
- A minimum of two upper-division courses must be taken at Scripps.
- One upper-division Italian course in translation may be taken in the place of an upper division course in Italian, in order to fulfill the requirement.
- A senior thesis, written in Italian.
