Writing and Rhetoric Minor

Requirements for the Minor
A minor in Writing and Rhetoric requires six course credits. Students planning to study writing during their semester abroad should consult carefully with the Writing and Rhetoric faculty to determine which courses may be accepted toward the minor. In keeping with Scripps policy, all courses must be taken for letter grades to fulfill minor requirements.
Core Courses
Three courses, one of each pair:
- WRIT110 SC Introduction to Rhetoric or WRIT105 SC Writing and the Liberal Arts
- WRIT140 SC Creative Nonfiction or WRIT135 SC Writing Social Media
- WRIT172 SC Rhetorics of Sustainability or WRIT175 SC Social Action Writing and Rhetoric

Select one from among the following:
