Ensembles

Each ensemble course is repeatable for credit; see the course description for number of times allowed. Ensemble courses do not fulfill the Scripps fine arts requirement. Ensemble courses may be taken for letter grade only.

Performance

All registrants (including returning students) for performance courses at Scripps must contact the Music Department before registration to make an appointment for an interview and/or audition. Each performance course is repeatable for credit; see course description for number of times allowed. Performance courses do not fulfill the Scripps fine arts requirement. Performance courses may be taken for letter grade only.

Courses Available at Pomona College

Instrumental instruction is also available at Pomona College. Credit is earned according to Pomona College regulations.

Private instruction may be available in the following instruments: Bassoon, Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Euphonium and Tuba, Flute, Guitar, Harp, Horn, Oboe, Organ, Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Viola, and Violin. Contact the Pomona Music Department for more information.
