ENGL 009 AF - Black Feminist Community Learning and Creative Writing This is a community-learning course in which Pitzer and community students explore the social, aesthetic, and community-building value of creative writing through reading, writing, multimedia and other interdisciplinary creative forms. Classes are organized around student-centered community learning through creative writing and/or creative projects often at the intersection of autobiography and feminist theory at an off-campus community-based location that provides health and rehabilitation services for women, predominately mothers, recovering from the trauma of incarceration, health challenges, and addiction in our community (www.prototypes.org).
