SPAN 131 SC - Queer Theory in Latin America This course examines how queer theory is conceptualized from within Latin America cultural production since the 1950s. The course will emphasize the relationship of queer theory to justice, historical memory, and various social transformations in Latin America. We will examine the intersections of sexuality, gender, race, class, and politics and their implications within struggles for social justice. Taught in Spanish.
