EA 103L KS - Principles of Soil Science This course is an intensive introduction to the properties and genesis of soils. Topics include: soil morphology, physical properties, phyllosilicate mineralogy, chemistry, biology, and C and N biogeochemical cycles. Key applications of soils to environmental science, ecology, geology, agriculture, and/or archaeology will be emphasized.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL043L KS and BIOL044L KS , or BIOL040L KS and BIOL044L KS ; CHEM014L KS and CHEM015L KS , or CHEM040L KS and CHEM015L KS , or CHEM029L KS ; or both semesters of the AISS course (AISS001ALKS , AISS001BLKS , AISS002ALKS , AISS002BLKS ).
