ANTH 028 PZ - Colonial Encounters This course will examine anthropological studies of colonialism. It is an introductory course that will focus on how the process of colonization altered both colonized subjects and colonizers. Particular attention will be paid to issues of gender, sexuality, race, national identity, religion, and the interconnections between colonial (and imperial) practices and the formation of a broader world system.
