RLST 101B CM - Sanskrit and the Indian Epics The course will introduce the basics of Sanskrit grammar that will allow for translation of the classical language and an understanding the importance of Sanskrit as a sacred sound system. Students will apply their study of the language to a reading of the Māhabhārata, including extended sections of the Bhagavad Gita, and Rāmāyana. HRT I.
