DANC 135 SC - Introduction to West African Dance A movement-based study of the dances of West Africa (Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana). Includes investigation of similarities and differences among dances, and examination of historical and cultural influences. Videos, readings, and research papers augment studio experiences. Basic dance conditioning included. Open to all experience levels.
