PSYC 174 SC - Is Freud Really Dead? This course provides an introductory discussion of psychoanalysis. Beginning with classic theories of Freud and his immediate followers and continuing with modern object relations and self-psychology, this course seeks to place contemporary psychoanalytic thought in a historical context. Contribution of psychoanalysis to psychology as well as the humanities will be addressed.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 052 for psychology majors. Course Credit: 1.0
