ART 130 SC - Clay/Collaboration/Cooperation Relative and relevant to the context of the contemporary political climate, students will explore a wide variety of strategies for interconnectedness and collaboration, form traditional teamwork to exchanges, call-and-response models, and viewer participation. In addition to learning basic ceramic construction and firing techniques, students will gain an in-depth understanding of the materiality of clay as a purveyor of conceptual content and as a conduit between people. Classes will focus on non-traditional processes and include lectures, readings, exercises, individual and group work time, and critiques.
