Requirements for the Major
A major in Chicanx-Latinx Studies requires a minimum of 11 courses, including a senior thesis or project.
Language Requirement:
All Chicanx-Latinx Studies majors must demonstrate fluency in Spanish by completing SPAN065 CH Spanish for Bilinguals , SPAN044 SC , an equivalent course, or a language assessment.
Required Courses:
Three courses from the following list of introductory courses:
One course from each of the three areas of concentration:

3. Sin Fronteras: Latinx Experiences in the Americas
NOTE: Double counting of courses listed below to satisfy the requirement of taking one course from each area of concentration is not permitted.
