International students must maintain full-time enrollment during their four years at Scripps to maintain their F-1 Student Visa status. While attending Scripps it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to know and abide by federal regulations pertaining to work authorization, course load, enrollment status, and reporting requirements. Before making any decision to change a program of study, drop a class, travel outside the United States, accept employment (e.g., on-campus, Curricular Practical Training, or post-completion Optional Practical Training), or transfer to another institution, it is imperative that a student consult with Scripps Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) or Designated School Official (DSO) in the Registrar’s Office.
Please visit the Registrar’s Office home page for degree requirements, academic and registration information, and review in more detail F-1 visa federal regulations on the International Students webpage.
