WRIT 109 SC - Writing Studio In this writing workshop, students develop their understanding of the academic writing process, including prompts and disciplinary conventions; invention, brainstorming, and prewriting; drafting, revision, and editing; peer response; critical thinking; research; and oral presentation. Students discuss academic genres and writing conventions as well as rhetorical framing and audience expectations of individual essays of any kind (including senior thesis chapters), which they workshop as a group.
