PHYS 100 KS - Computational Physics and Engineering This course is a comprehensive introduction to the application of computational techniques to physics and engineering. It provides direct experience in using computers to model physical systems and it develops a minimum set of algorithms needed to create physics and engineering simulations on a computer. Such algorithms are employed to solve nontrivial, real world problems. Students will use computer mathematical software such as Maple, Mathematica, or Matlab. No prior computer course is assumed.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS033L KS , PHYS034L KS ; or ( PHYS030L KS , PHYS031L KS ); and MATH 030 , MATH 031 . Course Credit: 1.0 Offered: Every spring
