CHEM 134 KS - Introduction to Molecular Modeling This course provides an introduction to both the theory and practice of current molecular modeling methods. Students use molecular mechanics, molecular orbital theory, and molecular dynamics to study chemical systems ranging from small organic structures to large biomolecules. The computational work is carried out using Spartan, MacroModel, and Gaussian software. Meets for entire semester. Enrollment limited to 12.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 117L , CHEM 121 . Course Credit: 0.5 Offered: Occasionally
