ARHI 158 SC - Architecture in East Asia The seminar examines the multifaceted-dimensions of architecture in East Asia throughout history. Students will learn fundamental architectural concepts, along with the historical contexts in which architecture responds to social changes, technological advances, and visual conventions. The seminar covers a range of materials and key epochs in East Asian history, and it also investigates how the built environment is constructed, experienced, and interacts with other cultural and visual practices.
