This class explores the intricate dynamics between the Bauhaus—the most influential art and design school of the 20th century—and Germany’s tumultuous Weimar Republic era. For 14 years, educators, artists, and students from all over the world came to the Bauhaus to reshape our understanding of what it means to teach and learn collectively. With National Socialism looming, the odds were stacked against the Bauhäusler:innen, but their work continues to inspire until today. Taught in German.
